I’m
out of the Office!
Do you or your colleagues work
out of the office – as though you are in
the office? Are you travelling with your laptop
and need continual access to your work email,
diary, documents etc? Do you want your access
to your email from your mobile phone?
Our clients have come to rely
on these mobile methods of working – and
it has transformed their business!
So what are some of our
clients doing?
The Mobile
Phone Story
A property company where the Senior Partner wants
to read Outlook email, diary and tasks on his
O2 XDA mobile phone – as well as open PDF
attachments whilst inspecting properties! The
mailbox is synchronised automatically using the
latest Exchange Push technology. This uses Microsoft
Active Sync for Windows Mobile and Exchange 2003
He stopped his Blackberry
contract!
The Laptop Story
A Lighting Design Consultant has a Microsoft Small
Business Server in his office travels to the USA
and the Far East with his laptop and need continual
up to date access to his Mailbox. He found (like
many other people!) that VPN connections can be
problematic. He can now synchronise his laptop
with the office securely without needing a VPN
connection, using the latest Microsoft technology
- Outlook Synchronisation over HTTP for Exchange
2003 has made life on the move far less stressful!
The Home Workers Story
Many of our clients now have staff who want to
work from home. Let’s take an example. A
client who produces Sales Promotion Items (twinkling
pens and lollipops) has an offices and remote
workers in China, Pakistan, Paris, as well as
Kensal Green!. His staff outside the main office
need to work on their PCs as though they are in
the office – using Microsoft Terminal Server
with a fast Broadband Symmetric ADSL line from
Easynet workers in Pakistan feel they are almost
in the Office and use all the Office applications
such as Outlook, Sage Accounts, ACT! Contact management
etc.
This gives an idea of what Creative
Solutions have successfully achieved for their
demanding clients! Below is a list of the technologies
we apply:
• Outlook synchronisation
– Travel with Outlook
and synchronise with the Exchange mailbox
• Outlook Web
Access (OWA) - Get

• Smart Phones

This gives some
idea of the Out of Office technologies our clients
